AKSHAY MAHAJAN

Akshay Mahajan is a Mumbai based photographer. He has held workshops with Roger Ballen,ISSP, Ludza, Latvia (2010) and The Eddie Adams (2009). He has had numerous exhibitions with Re:Renewal, Goodenough House, London, UK (2012), Postcards from the Interior, Exhibit 360, New Delhi, India (2012), Organvida International Photofestival, Zagreb, Croatia (2012), BlowUp! Angkor, Angkor Photofestival, Siem Reap, Cambodia (2011), ISSP Group Exhibition, Ludza, Latvia (2010), KLPA2010, Annexe Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2010), Bangalore Queer Film Festival, Bangalore, India (2010), Blindboys-Wideyed Pop-Up, Newcastle, UK (2010), BlowUp! Mahajan has won numerous awards: Finalist Organvida Documentary Award, Zagreb, Croatia (2012). Finalist FotoVisura Award for Outstanding Personal Documentary Photography (2011) and PX3 Showcase (2008). He is also the founder of the collective Printer’s Devil (2011), the collective project (2009) and online platform www.blindboys.org.
