About the Artist
Himani is trained in M.F.A in Spatial Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London (2007) after completing a Bachelors in Business Studies (2005). She also holds a M.Sc. in Real Estate and Planning from The Bartlett, University College London (2012). She has been painting since the past 12+ years, among other parallel professions as a Management Consultant/ Urban Researcher and Spatial Designer. She has participated in group shows in Gallerie Nvya and IGI Airport in New Delhi (2017). Her painting is also displayed as part of Art On The Underground project at Moor Gate Tube Station, London (2006). She had assisted Artist Simon Tyszko for his installation in London, Arts Council, England (2007). In her parallel profession as an urban consultant and researcher, she advised governments and private clients on urban development strategy and how to optimize cities through development and technology (2013-2017). Prior to this, she worked as a spatial designer and has conceptualized and executed several hospitality, retail and commercial spaces across India (2008- 2011). Himani lives and works in New Delhi, and travels extensively to create art.
