“Space 118 is the only residency in the heart of the city of Mumbai, it’s a very nice working environment and with clean studio spaces. All kinds of materials can be found around the area and there are many things to explore.
This space is especially good for new or emerging artists as it provides access to all the leading galleries and exposure to the art fraternity. My experience was wonderful, mingling with other artists working in studios, the staff and the un-interrupted working environment helped me to come up with a project called “Blindfolds”, which was the reaction of staying and observing one of the fastest growing metros, Mumbai.

Mrugen has done his B.F.A and M.F.A from M.S University, Baroda. His installations are always a dynamic experience of an integrated unit of time, space and material, where moods are created, expressions revealed and language conveyed rather than a static stimulus of perception.
