Remen obtained a BFA and a MFA in Fine Art from the College of Art, Delhi. She later procured a Diploma in Photography from the School of Phototechnic, in Delhi. In 2003, she undertook a continuing education program and residency at the School of Visual Art in New York and another residency program with Atelier 2221 Edition Studio, Delhi. She was awarded the All India Fine Art and Craft Award in 2002. Alongside exhibiting in India she has participated in international shows held in Amsterdam, New York, Milan and Sri Lanka.
