About the Artist
Shanthi holds a BFA degree from the Sir J.J. School of Fine Arts. A merit scholar, she has won accolades for her work such as the Shri. Gopal S. Adivarekar award and the Kalavart Nyas’ M.P. Publisher’s’ award, Ujjain and has exhibited at Gallery Beyond in 2012. Shanthi is fascinated by imprints, which she uses and transforms to create something that evokes both fantasy and reality. Her work recalls something that is familiar yet elusive.
