Artwork Description

This photograph, taken for the artist’s self-funded project “Almost A Slave” depicts a worker’s son reversing the sides of raw bricks so that they could dry in the sun. The stark photograph depicts how modern capitalist society dehumanizes everybody – even children.

About Artist

Abhinav is a self-taught photographer, who graduated with an B.Com from Ramjas College, Delhi (2010-2013.) His most recent exhibitions include ‘A Journal Chapter 1’ at Indian Photography Festival, Hyderabad (2018) and The Irregulars Art Fair, New Delhi (2018). His work has been published in magazines like Outlook Traveller (2017) and Home Fashion India Magazine (2017). His commercial shoots include photography for Amazon India Fashion Week (2016), Ashok Leyland (2016), Kohler HR (2017) amongst others. He also practices as a cinematographer and videographer and shot commercials, music festivals and documentary films as well.
