‘Banyan’ is a study of the vastness and growth of a tree which is native to India. The artworks highlight the magic of its adventitious roots at the moment in time when the branches touch the ground.
Oliver studied Drama at the Nancy Tunon School of Theatre and received a Diploma from the Massan School of Art in Barcelona. His multiple solo exhibitions include Galeria Anquin’s in Reus (2013), Berger Gallery in Barcelona (2011), and La Seud’Urgell (2010). His works have been displayed at Gallerie Wedding in Berlin (2013), Swab Art Fair in Barcelona (2012), and Galeria Anquin’s in Reus (2012). Oliver has won multiple awards including the XIV Young painting Award of La Caixa Penedès and Anquin’s Gallery. His works have been collected by the Urbana de Barcelona and the Caixa Penedes. A poet of geometry and colour, Roura primarily paints geometric abstractions on canvas and his works are enlivened by constant technical experimentations.
