Artwork Description

As the title insinuates, ‘Burning Future’ is the artist’s attempt to set ablaze the current trend of apathy within society towards child labour. Child abuse reached its peak in India during the Industrial Revolution; and continues hide (and grow) within the enclosed walls of industries even today.

About Artist

Shikha recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art and Curatorial Studies from the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum. She attained her BFA in Painting from Rachna Sansad College of Applied Arts and Craft, Mumbai (2016) after completing her diploma in Graphic Designing from MAAC, Mumbai along with a Foundation course in Commercial Arts from Sophia Polytechnic.
