Shail’s works blends together expressive lines, broken strokes and vivid clashing hues and focuses on observational works. The artist pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, portraying him as the deliverer of peace to Indian people.
About Artist
Shail holds a B.F.A. from Rachana Sansad College of Art, Mumbai and an M.A. in Visual Communication from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, U.K. Shail’s work has been exhibited at the Hive, Mumbai (2014), the Trident Art Walk, Mumbai (2012), The Tea Lounge at the Taj Palace, Mumbai (2010), Blue Elephant Theatre, London (2007) and the Cure Zone, Birmingham (2007).
He has been commissioned three billboards by EC Arts for 48 Sheet Public Arts Festival, UK (2012). Shail was awarded first prize in ‘The Freedom of Expression Movement’ in 2009, a nation-wide art competition organized by the makers of Rang Rasiya, an acclaimed Hindi film.
