Mayadhara’s work is a part of the series ‘Village Tales”, which comprises of narratives of the artist’s native place woven into a nostalgic backdrop.
Mayadhara holds a B.V.A. in Sculpture from B.K College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar. His solo shows include the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (2014), Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata (2014) and Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Bhubaneshwar (2013). He has also exhibited in a group show at India Habitat Centre (2013). He has been the recipient of the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Grant Scholarship (2012), the National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture, New Delhi (2011) and Alice Bunder Memorial Award (2010).
