Born and raised in the quaint city Ahmedabad, a love for heritage was instilled and continues to thrive within artist Harsheiil Patel. In this work, his primary concern lies with preserving an element of the past. When put within the context of rapid urbanization, the identity of a physical place becomes crucial for the survival of culture. The surface of the artwork slowly begins to uncover upon observation to reveal a century old story – a deep, dark yet dazzling world that has left us.
