The ‘Jerusalem’ works are a series of digital collages, made using various maps of Jerusalem from different times in history. The works depict the city which is unable to break away from its turbulent past, the cacophony of its borders, and overlapping identities.
Mustafa read his Bachelor of Visual Art from M.S. University, Baroda. He has exhibited at the Faculty of Fine Art, Baroda in 2014 and 2015, and has participated in a group show at Chemould Prescott Gallery, Mumbai (2015), organized by Clark House Initiative. Mustafa works with digital, sculptural and print media using constructed and interactive forms, primarily to do with historic, cultural and linguistic evolution.
