The work above is unlike any other work by Fawcett, who’s work usually has anthopocentric concerns, however the inspiration for painting a scene from the Amazon came from the story of the disappearance of Colonel Fawcett.
Eleanor Fawcett graduated with a BA degree from Camberwell College of Art in 2009. She then received her Master’s Degree from Central St. Martins College of Art, London in 2013. She began her journey as an artist after graduating from Norwich School of Art with a Diploma in Foundation Studies in 2005. Since then she has had many solo and group shows. She has exhibited at Playhouse Theatre, Norwich, House Gallery, Camberwell, 320 Gallery, London, INDO, London, Festival Miden, Kalamata, Greece, Takecourage Gallery, London, The Rag Factory, London to name a few. She has also showcased her work at the Aeon Festival in Devon and Thames Festival, London and has had an installation in the Whistable Biennale.
