A period of a halt and looking back, to ease oneself at a point of stress, to have a deep look at a subject
of trace, pushing onself to engage in a tideous ritual of embroidring, were some of the acts chosen to
produce work during the period of residency. Well indeed the subject chosen was a self portrait that
belonged to an age of early childhood, tracing the face down on a big sheet of tracing paper that made
the face look as just a tiny spot on the sheet. There was a need to find or locate oneself in the trace while still addressing the stranger encompassed in it as looking back at it, now.
Embroidery made with black thread on black Georgette cloth remains only as a residue of a time,
speaking of an enagagement created by the effort of making it complete. There has been no efforts of
making the floral pattern look any more beautiful with the black embroidery done. But it powerfully
preserves time in it as well as allowed it to pass.
