Artwork Description

Rahul Vajale’s canvases, mostly large, test our responses to reasoning within. Rahul’s language is that of unseen objects, unknown organisms and human forms often get mutated to an extent that they belong to the non-human realm. While this poses an apparent challenge to the notion of form, the forms seek to creep down viewers’ eyes, to locate some sort of reasoning within. Rahul’s works are often spontaneously created having no clear idea or concept at the start. Rather, he builds on his initial thought by adding layers of elements to his works.
