The ‘Lotus’ is a prominent symbol in both Indian and Persian mythology. It is also an important flower in the history of Iran. In her work ‘Untitled I’ the ‘lotus’ acts as a mystical signifier revealing the artists personal experiences and feelings
About Artist
Janan Nozari Roodsari attained her B.A. in painting from Soureh University, Shiraz, Iran (2006) and her M.A. in illustration from Art University, Tehran, Iran (2011). she has had several duo exhibitions at Galerie Bertrand Gillig, Strasbourg, France (2017), Vali Gallery, Tehran, Iran (2013), The Artists’ Forum, Shiraz, Iran (2005) and Baran Gallery, Shiraz, Iran (2003).
