Balasaheb Chaudhari (b. 1984, Pune, Maharashtra, India) completed his GD in Art from Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, Maharashtra, 2008. He has been awarded the CREW Wildlife Painting Award, 2014 and 56 State Art Exhibition Award, 2016.

Balasaheb’s practice is a process of discovering his own essence. The nature of abstraction in his work is not steady. To help him actualize his creative interests in visual forms, he always strives to gauge the limits of the medium. His work embodies the insatiable artistic need to turn transitory glimpses of the natural and social environment into numerous ambiguous pictographs.

In this series, the abstraction is not constant. Forms have a natural affinity for generative symbols found in nature, such as seeds and their physical manifestation, or leaves and the beauty of life. Through his art, he attempts to uncover the rhythm of the abstract.

Balasaheb lives and works in New Delhi, India.
