ABOUT NITA DESAI
Nita attained her Diploma in Textile Designing and Interior Decoration from Kareer Polytechnic, Fort, Mumbai (1978) after completing her Foundation Course from Sophia College, Mumbai (1976). She has worked as a Textile Designer for 3 years at Forms and Fabrics, Mumbai. She has also worked as an Art and Craft Teacher at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh for 14 years (1991-2004) and at Reliance School in Surat, Gujarat for 4 years (2004-2008) and at Al Diyafah International School in Dubai as an Art Design and Technology Teacher. She has worked as a teacher for over 25 years. Apart from teaching she has also participated in many group and solo shows in Mumbai and Dubai.
WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT
The workshop will start by introducing the participants to the instructor’s works of 3D calligraphy. After which she will teach the participants the different styles and techniques of calligraphy and how to create the 3D effect using pencils and calligraphy sketch pens.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Open to ages 9 and above. No prior experience is required.
Tea and light refreshments will be served in the evening.
