ABOUT PROF. JONATHAN JAY LEE:
Jonathan Jay Lee (b. 1985) Based in Hong Kong, Taiwanese-American born Jonathan Jay Lee graduated with Departmental Honors in Illustration from Parsons School of Design. He is an award-winning illustrator who has recently been named in Lürzer’s Archive World’s Best 200 Illustrators Worldwide. His clients have included Marvel Comics, Heavy Metal Magazine, San Miguel, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Lee Kum Kee, Ho Lee Fook, Urban Decay and HSBC. He also teaches courses as a Professor of Illustration and Sequential Art at Savannah College of Art and Design at the Hong Kong campus.
WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT:
The workshop will be an exercise in observation, hand to eye coordination and control, and design composition.
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED:
– Gel Pens
– Colored Markers
– Copic Markers
– Paper
– Random objects, toys (figurines, vehicles, etc.), sculptures, everyday found objects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET: Just an open mind (no background in drawing/art required)
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Age 15-30
WHAT YOU NEED TO PAY: This workshop is free of cost. The first 30 registrations will be considered.
