The ‘Origami Workshop‘ is conducted by professional, Limca Book Record winner Origami artist Himanshu Agrawal on Saturday 2nd August, 2014 from 11am to 6pm at Space118, 118, Wadi Bunder Road, Mazagon, Near Wallace Flour Mill, St. Mary’s School or Fazlani School, Mumbai-400010. Himanshu has been specializing in this technique since 1989.He specializes in large-scale Origami and has received numerous awards for the same, most notable being 5 Limca Book Records (20 ft. tall Giraffe, 105 ft. long Dinosaur, 25 ft. long Dragon with 3200 scales, 45-ft tall Origami Human and a life-sized Origami Elephant). His models have been installed at the Sharjah Biennial 2011, Kala Ghoda Art Festival 2013, Hermes India, Palladium (High Street Phoenix), R-City Mall (Ghatkopar), IIT Bombay, CEG Chennai, Good Earth and others. He has also provided Origami in several TV and Print advertisements. Clients include: Airtel Digital, Airtel Online, Canon, Reliance Communications, Tata AIG, Toyota Innova, Audi, Arreyadi Newspaper (Saudi Arabia) and others.

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT:
It will be a hands-on interactive experience for the participants; they will fold models ranging from beginner level to intermediate. He will discuss the history and development of this art in India and the world. He will also teach how to read and understand diagram notation in Origami books. The workshop will be conducted at a pace that everyone can follow and you will also be shown videos on various forms of orgami folding.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
– Anyone above the age of 10 can join the workshop. There is no prerequisite knowledge required for this workshop.
– All you need to do is be interested in learning Origami.

The fees for this workshop is available on request.

There will be tea, snacks and light refreshments in the evening.
