PAPERCUTTING WORKSHOP BY POOJA AJMERA

The ‘Papercutting Workshop‘ is conducted by a dynamic artist of the Teekhii Chhurii fame, Pooja Ajmera on Saturday 9th August, 2014 from 2-6 pm at Space118, 118, Wadi Bunder Road, Mazagon, Near Wallace Flour Mill , St. Marys School or Fazlani School, Mumbai-400010. Pooja is a self- taught and now a professional papercutting artist who is trying her best to spread awareness about this art. She is reviving the dying art form of India. She hand-cuts the entire design from a single sheet of paper. There has been a lot of press coverage about her work in Femina, India today, Your Story, Creative Gaga magazine, Next Big What and Kyoorius to name a few.
WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT:
– Understanding the artform
– Basics of Papercutting
– Technique to master the art
– Knowledge about the tools
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET:
Nothing but yourself! It all inclusive.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
– Anyone above the age of 10 can join the workshop. There is no prerequisite knowledge required for this workshop.
– All you need to do is be interested in making beautiful designs in paper. You will be taking back a lovely papercut, carved entirely by you.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING FROM HOME:
– A folder / file to keep the paper cut
The fees for this workshop is available on request.
There will be tea, snacks and light refreshments in the evening. Pls mention clearly which time slot you would be registering for.
