ABOUT VARSHA PANDIT:

Varsha Pandit graduated from J. J. School of Art, Mumbai after which she exhibited her work at various platforms such as the Kala Ghoda Art Festival, The Art Society of India, Chitrakala Parishad, the Jehangir Art Gallery etc. She has held several workshops in Dubai, Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Mumbai to name a few. Pandit has been awarded the “Best Painting of the Year “award along with the “Best Water Colour by a Lady Artist”, Award by the Art Society of India in the years 2003-04. Through her work, she attempts to explore the association of all the elements. Impulsive and spontaneous strokes which create life through colour and texture, describe her style.

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT:

In this workshop, participants will be given an introduction to watercolour painting. The instructor will begin by talking about the materials and techniques used during watercolour along with an audio visual presentation. This would be followed by demonstrations to create light, mood, perspective and balance after which participants would try out these methods. Once everyone grasps the basic techniques the class will begin their final project on imported paper which will be a landscape painting from a photograph of their choice.

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED:

Imported, Handmade and Cartridge papers, paint, brushes and water pots.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET:

A-4 size drawing boards.
You can bring a photo of a landscape you want to make or else the instructor will provide reference photos.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: 14 years and up.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PAY:
