Harshit’s intrigue with the structural dimensions around him informs the creation of his artworks. The study of the dimensions of space, time, sound, shadows, shapes and their various behaviours encouraged Bondre to develop an original artistic style to produce his interpretation of the fourth dimension. His paintings are a window to his understanding of an alternative universe which he brings to the forefront by using forms he invented based on his observations.
Harshit was inspired by nature to consider and evaluate its beauty. Even the simple subject of how a leaf can change its colour without any movement caused him to reflect deeply on life. Gradually, he realised that the relationship between the cycle of light, time, and growth is what characterises the stages in leaf metamorphoses. Harshit’s utilisation of lines and shapes as a conceptual artist was influenced by his awareness of human interaction with nature and how the beauty of colours harmonises it.
Harshit lives and works in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
