Mahavir’s works appreciate and celebrate the intricacies of struggling-class life and serendipitous insights into the social paradigm. Most of his works are developed out of empathetic observations as he dives deep into generic characters, animate/inanimate objects, and sensory experiences which are expressed and reflected within his paintings. With the subtle use of colours, delicate lines, overall sense of composition and the self-contained subject matter of symbolic realities; he points out the sociological, political, and psychological instances of undaunted human responses. Organic & repetitive patterns, subdued colours, ambiguous contours and the amalgamation of painting, embossing and collaging techniques define his work. Experimenting with the pigments, fabrics, materials and painting surfaces he continues to widen the range of mediums used for his paintings.

Mahavir lives and works in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
