Heritage Hotel Art Spaces

Goa – 2015:

Two years after returning from Berlin, performance artist Nikhil Chopra set up the residencies, along with fellow artists Romain Loustau and Madhavi Gore, at Heritage Hotel in Goa in 2015. While the programme is curated, the team also accepts applications from artists who are exploring the ‘live’ and the body in their work and process. Artists are invited for a month long residency at the end of which there is an OPEN studio to showcase work developed during the residency. The house is completely transformed and the audience experiences the heightened energy of performances room after room.

Visiting artists will often collaborate or correlate their work HH has hosted dancers, musicians, electronic sound / composers, artists, related to the theatre and cabaret, fine artists, performance artists such as Diptej Vernekar, Divesh Gadekar, Dheeraj Pednekar, Yuko Kaseki, Sahej Rehal and Mithu Sen and Durga Gawde. The space ran for three-and-a-half-years, and has now transitioned into HH Art Spaces Foundation.
