Md Samim Alam Beg (b. 1998, Murshidabad, West Bengal, India)  pursued his BFA, 2020 and MFA, 2022 in Sculpture, from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

He participated in Kochi Students Biennale, Kochi, 2021. He got an award at Students Annual Exhibition, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, 2022, Salma Naqvi Award in Sculpture, 2nd All India Online Art Exhibition, Art Family, 2022 and Art Scholarship from Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust. Additionally he is a Visual Art Faculty at Seed: APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design, Kochi, Kerala.

Samim is fascinated by linear designs existing in nature. His works are sculptural translations of these designs, and he uses natural linearity as an element of partly abstract and referential compositions. As a result, his designs emerge as intellectually resolved structures with an element of natural unpredictability.

Samim lives and works in Kochi, Kerala, India.
