Sarika’s art practice is through observing her daily life. It results in a constant search for the best way to interpret the idea that she has about herself and the world around her. She does not limit herself to one medium of style or concept. She usually carries her thoughts to express them clearly with various elements like forms, figures, textures, geometrical shapes, etc.
Each piece of artwork which is created and depicted has its own journey and turns out to be more dynamic than anticipated. The formless phenomena of thoughts, ideas and feelings that she has experienced in her life are clarified through her practice in printmaking. She has two sides to express her thoughts that mingle and crash constantly, which are the psychology and emotions in reality.
Her artworks explore the main ideology of thoughts through a metaphoric representation where she had imitated the merit of animals like dogs, cows/bull, goats, insects and birds. Her artworks are made keeping in mind the subject or creatures’ behavior and emotions through her continual study and observation. Her works portray psychological stages with different elements like lines, forms and eventually figures where lines also express an emotional state. She tries to understand the behavior of nature and relate it in her work.
