Siddharth Soni (b.1997, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India) completed his BFA and MFA in Painting at  Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan, 2022. He has been a  part of workshops at CMR University, Bangalore, 2023; Inhabiting Learning, Shrishti Manipal  University, 2022, Under The Mango Tree by Sanchayan Ghosh and Miniature workshop, Visva  Bharati, Shantiniketan, 2019; International Art Festival, Bikaner, 2018, and International Art  Workshop, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, 2016. He is one of the founding members of  Uthon, a collaborative art space, Bolpur, 2020. 

Siddharth is a second-generation artist who works as a multidisciplinary practitioner in the  field of miniatures. His impetus for developing a project includes ethnographical modes,  interviewing as an investigation, and working in varied public and community situations. His  works encompass photography, installations, site-specific public art projects, paintings, and  new media. Siddharth’s works reflect contemporary socio-political landscapes. Themes of  equality, diversity, and the manipulation of political propaganda come into play, viewed  through the lens of local religious faiths and belief systems of society. Through his works, he  strives to galvanise critical introspection, urging individuals to forge their unique  understanding of religious convictions, inviting viewers to question preconceived notions and  to contemplate the interplay between faith, politics, and personal rights.
