Thamsangpha’s work is informed by the forms, themes, and iconography found in Naga tribal culture, which mostly developed as a result of observing native flora and fauna. His artistic approach has been guided by the notion of estrangement inside one’s own nation from the periphery and encountered experience at the nation’s centre, as well as occurrences and formations of tribal cultural practices of “creating” against the given existing discriminations.
Thamsangpha lives and works in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
